Key properties of granite steps
- Hardness and abrasion resistance → the highest among natural stones, they do not wear even under heavy traffic
- Frost resistance → full (F1–F2), ideal for exterior stairs (terraces, entrances, driveways)
- Water absorption → very low (<0.5–1%) → do not absorb water, resist stains and moss growth
- Anti-slip properties → depend on the finish: flamed / bush-hammered / brushed – very good (exterior); polished – slippery (interior only or with anti-slip protection)
- Finish → cut and flamed (rough, anti-slip – exterior), polished / brushed (smooth, elegant – interior), bush-hammered (point texture)
- Aesthetics → natural speckles, uniform structure, colors from grey to black / brown / red
- Heat → conducts heat well (excellent with underfloor heating)
Granite stairs – The best choice for exterior stairs (entrances, terraces, driveways) and interior stairs in residential or public buildings, recommended wherever there is heavy traffic. They do not require impregnation apart from routine cleaning.
