TYPES OF GRANITE SLATE:
  • unsorted slate, granite waste Price: 60.00 PLN incl. VAT (48.78 PLN net) Irregular granite pieces with a fraction of approx. 4–15 cm. This material can be used for paving surfaces to achieve a “wild stone” effect, for filling gabion baskets or for ground reinforcement. Waste packed in Big Bag bags – 110 PLN / ton
  • sorted granite slate Price: 210.00 PLN incl. VAT (170.73 PLN net) The slate is specially selected by us so that it is ideal for building fences, grills, arches, rock gardens and other garden arrangements. The slate has a tile-like shape with dimensions from 4 to 15 cm.
Key properties of granite slate (waste)
  • Rock type — deep igneous granite (the same as Strzegom cube: quartz + feldspar + biotite/mica)
  • Color — dominant grey / light grey Strzegom (with black and white speckles), grey-rust, rust (depending on batch and sorting)
  • Shape and dimensions — irregular split pieces with a thickness of 2–8 cm and sides of 4–15 cm (most often 5–12 cm), sharp edges, rough surface
  • Hardness and abrasion resistance — very high (LA ≈ 20–35, the same as granite cube)
  • Frost resistance — full (F1–F2), excellent in the Polish climate – does not crack, does not flake, resistant to road salt
  • Water absorption — very low (<0.5–1%) → does not absorb water, does not stain easily, does not grow moss
  • Weather resistance — extreme: no fading, UV degradation, acid rain or frost – durability >50–100 years
  • Aesthetics — raw, rustic, natural; uneven texture creates a “wild wall” or “stone carpet” effect; granite speckles add character
  • Natural, without dyes, ecological (recycling of production waste)
