Key properties of red granite chippings (Vanga)
- Rock type — deep igneous granite
- Color — intense dark red / burgundy / cherry tones with dark graphite or black spots and speckles; natural deep color that does not fade over time
- Structure — rough, irregular surface with angular sharp edges (crushed stone) providing excellent traction and surface stability
- Hardness and abrasion resistance — very high (Los Angeles index LA ≈ 20–30, typical for granite)
- Frost resistance — full (class F1–F2), excellent for Central European climates; does not crack, flake or absorb water
- Water absorption — very low (usually <0.5–1%, WA24), practically resistant to moisture and staining
- Weather / UV resistance — extremely high; color remains stable without fading, dulling or moss growth
- Mechanical strength — high compressive and crushing resistance, suitable for driveways and paths with moderate traffic
- No alkali reactivity — safe for use in concrete and in landscaped areas around plants
- Aesthetics — warm, intense red color that contrasts beautifully with greenery, grey concrete, wood and light façades; suitable for both rustic and modern garden designs
- Natural, eco-friendly material without artificial pigments
